Atlantis Fleet Carriers are a type of warship owned by the Kingdom of Atlantis. Its primary role is to carry large amounts of stingers and shark cavalry into battle and is defended by its own complement of Stingers. It is also heavily armed with a large frontal gun for sniping of enemy ships or to lay siege to fortifications. They can be used to provide fire support on enemy forces from afar, or in rare cases, directly engage a beast.[1]

As Arthur and Mera flew past customs, a fleet carrier was among the traffic, presumed to be returning from patrols, travelling alongside a Fleet of several Fisherman warships.[2]

Dozens of fleet carriers were assembled by Atlantis for the battle as part of the Atlantis fleet. The carriers hung back the rest of the battle, providing support for wounded Atlanteans, recalling damaged Stingers, and acting as the rear guard as large amounts of Stingers were holding formation alongside the carriers.

As the combined forces began their attack, King Orm led the charge from under a fleet carrier, with thousands of shark cavalry behind and stingers above charging towards the Brine. Xebel took the right flank and Fisherman took the left.

A Carrier fires on the Karathen
With the sudden rise of the legendary Karathen along with Arthur and thousands of marine life, a carrier and its crew were bold enough to join the battle and directly engaged the Karathen, scoring a hit with its howitzer and staggering her, throwing Arthur off before the beast recovered and dragged the same carrier down the sea floor.

As the battle progressed into a messy all-out slugfest between the combined forces and marine life, the carriers continued to hung back throughout the fight leading up to the duel in the surface.
None of the others carriers surfaced from the ocean during the duel between Orm and Arthur. They were presumably engaged in recovery of wounded troops and damaged fighters.[2]
Capabilities
- Wave motion howitzer: A possibly spinal mounted gun stretching across the entire ship, it fires massive cannon rounds, enough to travel halfway across the battlefield and smash into enemy ships, as seen when one fleet carrier engaged and fired on the legendary Karathen, enough to stagger her and throw Arthur off.
- Storage/support facilities: The fleet carrier has internal housing facilities very similar to the Fishermen infantry frigate but in a larger scale, able to store and launch large numbers of stingers and also act as barracks for shark cavalry. It most likely has a field hospital and many armories, workshops, and shark holding pens.
