- The Archie Goodwin International Airport is named after Archie Goodwin (1937–1998), a comic book writer, editor and artist. In the comics, the airport made its first appearance in Batman #34 (April 1946) and remained unnamed until it was given a name with a Gotham City map made for the Batman: No Man's Land crossover event in 1999.
