Amber Calcaterra is the wife of Evan Calcaterra. She was tied up by Peacemaker inside her apartment when he was hiding from the Evergreen Police Department following his fight with Annie Sturphausen. Once she and Evan were freed, they were bribed by Leota Adebayo with an all-expenses paid trip to Lake Tahoe, Nevada in exchange for misidentifying the man they saw as Auggie Smith. She later engaged in an extra-marital affair with both Peacemaker and Vigilante.

Living for seven years with her husband, Evan Calcaterra, in the Wild Estates Apartment Complex, Amber heard noises in the living room, discovering Evan being threatened by Peacemaker to help him collect his records, being a fugitive from the Evergreen Police Department, asking them to find a rope to tie them up, which she agreed to, Amber then noticed that one of Smith's records was by the band Cinderella, discovering that they had the same musical taste as they shared sexually provocative glances while Evan watched in confusion and the couple agreed to be tied up.

The Calcaterras confirmed to Smith that he was not in pain from his restraints, receiving a compliment from Smith on looking good in his robe, complimenting Amber who recalled Evan telling her the robe made her look fat, before being scolded by Evan for persuading Smith to have sex in front of him, leading to a violent argument between the two over Smith, becoming disappointed in Evan for listening to Pumped Up Kicks when talking about murderers and causing him to explode in anger for wanting to have sex with Smith, yelling at each other and accidentally drawing the attention of the police, with Smith jumping off the balcony before the officers found the tied up Calcaterras.[1]

The next day, Calcaterra and Evan continued their insult-laced conflict to speak with the Evergreen Police Department about the suspects in Annie Sturphausen's murder, meeting Leota Adebayo, who attempted to bribe them out of framing Christopher Smith by offering a trip to Lake Tahoe, and the pair agreed to Adebayo's blackmail, conditionated to frame Peacemaker's father, Auggie Smith, which would free Peacemaker from his troubles with the police.[1]

At the police station, Amber spoke to Sophie Song, stating that Auggie was responsible for her kidnapping,[1] mentioning that Christopher Smith was "sexy", teasing Evan from the other side, going back to swearing at each other as Amber gave him a vulgar gesture, then politely asking Song to take Peacemaker's photo.[2] Later, Calcaterra met with Smith and Vigilante in secret at his trailer, having a sexual threesome and smoking tobacco, then reacting in surprise when Smith opened a Butterflies' Spaceship.[1]

Days later, Amber and Evan were at their apartment, being questioned by Sophie Song and Larry Fitzgibbon for lying about their testimony, listening to Evan reveal the truth, upsetting Amber by claiming that her husband was a coward. Amber then denied that Christopher Smith was the person who tied them up, but Evan became frustrated with her and confessed that they had lied because they didn't want to get Smith in trouble for being a good person, complaining to the police that Auggie was a dangerous person.[3]

Despite being married to Evan Calcaterra and living with him, Amber detests him for never paying attention to her and for constantly fighting and insulting each other. When Peacemaker invaded her apartment she felt attracted to him, who also shared her musical taste in rock, causing her to become jealous and even more hated by Evan when she described Smith as attractive, having a sexual threesome with Smith and Vigilante and smoking tobacco with them in secret.
