"Before Rome, before Babylon, before the Pyramids, there was Kahndaq. The first self-governing people on Earth, Kahndaq was a center of power and enlightenment. For centuries, they thrived. But then... came King Ahk-Ton."
Amon Tomaz[src]

Ahk-Ton was a tyrant who ruled Kahndaq until he was slain by Teth-Adam. He also ordered the creation of the Crown of Sabbac.

Biography[]

Taking over Kahndaq[]

"Using the army to seize power, Ahk-Ton became a tyrant. But he had even darker ambitions."
Amon Tomaz[src]

Around 2600 BC, when Kahndaq became Earth's first self-governing civilization, Ahk-Ton rose to power, using his army to take over the country and rule the Kanhdaqi people through oppression.[1]

Forging the Crown of Sabbac[]

"Obsessed with dark magic, Ahk-Ton's real goal was to forge the Crown of Sabbac. If infused with the powers of the six demons of the ancient world, it would make Ahk-Ton invincible. To make the crown, he needed Eternium. A rare mineral of magic properties, found only in Kahndaq. So he enslaved his own people, and forced them to dig."
Amon Tomaz[src]

Ahk-Ton sought the power of dark magic, and planned to forge the Crown of Sabbac in order to gain the supernatural power of six demons. In order to forge the crown, he needed Eternium, so he enslaved his people and forced them to mine the mineral. One of his enslaved subjects, Hurut, rebelled against him and he quickly ordered his execution, which failed when Hurut became the champion of the Council of Wizards. However, after Hurut's many victories, Ahk-Ton lured him into a trap where he would save his father's life before being killed by Ahk-Ton's assassins.[1]

Death[]

"Don't kill me. I can give you anything you want.[2]"
―Ahk-Ton to Teth-Adam[src]

Shortly after the Crown of Sabbac was successfully forged, it was to be given to Ahk-Ton in his palace. However, Black Adam interfered with the delivery and confronted Ahk-Ton. Ahk-Ton then begged for his life before Black Adam snapped his neck and destroyed the entire palace from within.[1]

Personality[]

Ahk-Ton was a power-hungry, sadistic, and oppressive tyrant who took what he wanted and forced others to get it for him. Though he was already in a high position of political power, he desired even greater power, which he sought to obtain from demons, instead of gods, which could imply he was a heretic. He egotistically viewed his people as lower than him and considered them to be property as he found it easy to enslave them, even having his soldiers kill them should they get out of line. He was also a coward as he was willing to give anything simply to have his life spared, and a manipulative hypocrite as he promised his people a reward should they find Eternium for him, only for his loyal soldiers to kill them instead.

  • The legend of Ahk-Ton was slightly different than what happened in reality. In the legends, Ahk-Ton successfully wore the Crown of Sabbac and fought Teth-Adam with his powers, while in reality, Teth-Adam killed him before he could wear the crown.[1]
