I know that it was made to help promote Justice League and that some of its events tie into those of the film, but not much has been said about it, so I'm just wondering.

It's been said that the Mother Boxes are what created the Boom Tubes, but in Justice League, after Superman and Cyborg separated the Boxes from each other (preventing the Unity) and the rest of the League defeated Steppenwolf, a Boom Tube transported him and the rest of the Parademons back to Apokolips. Does that suggest that perhaps, in that version of the film, the Boxes were still active, that someone or something else triggered it, or maybe just lazy writing? 'Cause in Zack Snyder's Justice League/Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition, once Cyborg and Superman separated the Boxes and stopped the Unity, they were disabled (or destroyed, as DeSaad put it), and the portal to Apokolips gradually closed up.
In doing so, not only will I be able to get a better grasp on the commonalities, similarities, and differences between the two cuts, but it'll also give me a good example as to how I'll incorporate virtually aspect of both versions (minus those three exceptions) in part of my work, as I've always said I would. Wish me luck!

Given how The Flash is said to totally reset the D.C.E.U. but also not forget its past, I for one can't help but think that perhaps how the Justice League first came together in this franchise will be totally reset, too, like a new version of Justice League/Zack Snyder's Justice League/Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition that also acts as a sequel, given how both the Flash and Batfleck are likely to be the only ones to even remember what came before. Kinda makes one wonder if Justice League 2 will possibly be revamped to retell how the League was first united in a totally new way, while revamping Justice League 3 to begin telling Snyder's outlines for how the future known as the "Knightmare" began in the first place (while modifying certain elements to fit the new timeline) and then creating a fourth and final entry, Justice League 4, to focus on the team's final battle against Darkseid and all his Apokoliptian forces and elite. I'm sure that this probably sounds somewhat unlikely, given the studios' stance on the man's vision for the franchise, but I think it would be very interesting to see if it's at all reshaped that way. It kinda reminds me a little of how both versions of X-Men: Days of Future Past (i.e., the theatrically released edition and the more-complete The Rogue Cut) totally revamped the X-Men films' timeline while both Wolverine and Professor X were the only ones who ever remembered anything from its past. I know that I've explained some of my thoughts on this before, but given the newly-released details about Batgirl is said to be set in the "new" D.C.E.U., as well as some of your posts on the franchise's future, the notions have been spinning around in my head for a little while now, and I just can't help but think that such a continuation on the League's storyline ought to be explored in future. You all know my vote, so who else is with me?
Are any of you assuming that the production of both Justice League 2 and Justice League 3 has been revived? And do any of you suppose that the sequels should really have subtitles, like how the Avengers films were, and if so, what do you think they should be subtitled as??? Whatever the case, the Knightmare may now seem inevitable....
Cinema Blend: Zack Snyder Posted A Cryptic Justice League Sequel Photo And Fans Are Going Nuts.
Perhaps Justice League 2 and Justice League 3 might be revived....
You all know how I feel about the franchise's musical "material" for Superman, but given the man's work on Zack Snyder's Justice League (and, by extension, Zack Snyder's Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition), I can't help but think if anyone would like to hear him return for the sequels, much like Alan Silvestri returned to score both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame for the M.C.U. after previously scoring both Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel's The Avengers Assemble years before. Given how the two composers' respective styles are said to fit their respective franchises' visions, tones, pacing, you name it, it might be logical to reinstate X.L. for the sequels. I'm sure I'm probably gonna hear LOADS of yes's, but feel free to comment below anyway.
If anyone's at all interested, as we all know, for a few years after Justice League was released, it was long thought that Zack Snyder's Justice League would never see the light of day. But for those of you who don't know, in direct response to this, about two years before Zack Snyder's Justice League was announced, film editor Chris Dawson took it upon himself to create his own "editor's cut" of the film by editing and/or removing already-included footage of the film, incorporating and modifying footage from previous films and some of their respective ads to fit the film's story, darkening the visual coloration, and even replacing Danny Elfman's score for the film in favor of including some music from some of the prior films' scores (i.e., Man of Steel by Hans Zimmer, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Edition by Zimmer and Junkie X.L., and Wonder Woman by Rupert Gregson-Williams, but none of Steven Price's work for Suicide Squad or Suicide Squad: Extended Cut), all to create an alternate cut that strove to be much closer to Snyder's initial vision while not exactly being the director's actual full vision per se. He called it Justice League: Black Suit Edition, and this is its YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIQufFxY4D3rQ6eJ-LMVS0g
Parts of it that've been posted on the channel are incomplete, however, as, in one particular video that altered Wonder Woman's rescue of the school trip, parts of Elfman's score was still intact despite the inclusion of Gregson-Williams's score for Wonder Woman included into the mix. However, all things considered, this edited version of the theatrically released Justice League can probably be compared to other edited cuts of theatrically released films, like Star Wars: Episode I.I - The Phantom Edit, Star Wars: Episode II.I - Attack of the Phantom, and even Superman II: Restored International Cut (which was created before the announcement and release of Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut). Unfortunately, though, while he understandably did post it somewhere else on the 'net for download, he didn't bother to include the link to that download site, and searching for it is extremely difficult. But I hope you all enjoy it.
