What if Superman never destroyed metropolis in the battle at the end of man of steel?
@I Like Jared Letos Joker He kinda did it, isn't it ?
They pretty much did do a DCEU "What If," because that's basically what Josstice was. It actually had alternate scenes, like "What if Victor Stone wasn't hurt very badly in his accident?" "What if parademons came to Earth before the mother boxes opened their portal?"
Superman didn't remotely destroy Metropolis. He did some minor façade damage while fighting a being that would have wiped out humanity, while this being did massive structural damage to a very small portion of Metropolis.
What if Batman's parents had never been murdered?
What if Superman had never made it off Krypton?
What if Barry Allen was never struck by lightning?
What if Atlanna never met Thomas Curry?
What if Victor Stone was never in an accident?
What if Billy Batson was never abandoned?
What if Harley never broke up with Joker?
What if Zod apologized with Superman and humans?
What If Steppenwolf was successful with the mother boxes
What if Joker caused true chaos and turned everyone into figurative zombies ?
@ThatGuyNamedJoe To be honest I'm not a fan of the core principles of these questions, because they negate any reason we have to follow any of these characters. It just turns them into normal people living normal lives, for the most part. However, I got to thinking about that "What if Superman never made it off Krypton," because I'm realizing how huge the impact would be.
Without Kal arriving on Earth, there is no command key, so there's no way to activate the scout ship. The ship was off course, not on Earth to set up a colonial outpost, so there's nothing to lead Zod to Earth. The world would never be threatened by alien forces until Silas wakes the box of man. Without sensing the Kryptonian defender, the box would immediately call out to Apokolips, and there would be no defense against Steppenwolf. Cyborg would stand alone in his earliest state - no combat capabilities, and certainly no match for Steppenwolf even if he were ready. Batman would learn of the arrival too late to act with no means of figuring out the scope of the event in time to do anything about it. The Amazons would fail to protect the box of Themyscira just as they did. The Atlanteans would fail to protect the box of Atlantis just as they did, and Flash would never find out about any of this until the Unity. Wonder Woman would be alerted after the acquisition of the second box instead of the first (it's the acquisition of the box of the Amazons that alerts her, which is no longer the box that calls Steppenwolf to Earth), so since she used the duration of Steppenwolf's acquisition of the box of Atlantis to join the fray last time, this time that's the last box, setting her up to join the fight after the Unity - and that's assuming she could join the fray at all without Batman's help, because they don't know of each other's existence this time. Steppenwolf would simply sweep Earth, and none of the movies in the DCEU would occur except WW, WW84, and a much simpler JL/ZSJL.
What If... Kal-El died on Krypton?
What If... Batman killed Superman?
What If... Robin wasn't killed?
What If... Steve Trevor never landed on Themyscira?
What If... the Justice League was never assembled?
What If... Darkside invaded Earth instead of Steppenwolf?
What If... the suicide squad didnt fight Starro?
What If... Rick Flag showed the documents to the press?
What If... Billy didnt become Shazam?
What If... Ocean Master killed Aquaman?
What if… DCEU was totally made by Zack Snyder?
What do you think?
